Chocolate Cherry Cookies

2 cups of flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
sprinkle of salt
1 cup of butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp of vanilla extract
handful and a half of dried cherries
1/2 cup of chocolate chips

1. Make the cookies!

In a mixer, beat your butter so that it is more white in color. Then add in the sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract. Once this is mixed to a good consistency, add in your dry ingredients. Don’t overmix!

Once those are added in, put your cherries and chocolate chips in and mix on the stir function (1) until well incorporated. You may give up on your mixer here and just do it by hand (I do!).

Scoop your mixture with a cookie scoop. These can be as large as you want! Put your oven on 350 degrees and let them bake for 12 minutes. I use an Air Bake pan to allow for good air circulation, even bake, and no burnt bottoms!
